Interested in Becoming A
Real Estate Broker in California?
With a Four Year College Degree:
It's a common
misconception that you are required to have real estate experience prior
to sitting for the Brokers Exam. If you have a four-year college degree,
the state will allow you to sit for the Brokers Exam once you provide
proof that you've passed the statutory pre-licensing courses (which are
all available from our school), no real estate experience is required!
The number of pre-licensing courses that you must take depends on what
you have already completed in college. Interested in finding out what
courses you need to complete to sit for the Brokers Exam?
If you have been licensed and
actively selling real estate for two full years you may also qualify to
take the Brokers Exam. The fact that you have held a salesperson license
for two years does not, under the law, necessarily qualify you for a
Broker License, but it may. Along with your completed course work, you
must document employment as a licensed real estate salesperson on a
full-time basis (or part-time for the equivalent of two years
full-time). Further, this experience must have been gained sometime
during the five years immediately preceding the date of your
application.
